Pawel Smorag is a versatile instrumentalist, soloist, orchestral musician and sideman working with many bands, orchestras including Polish and foreign artist.
  • Shakin Dudi Orchestra of Ireneusz Dudek, the most famous Polish blues musician, the legend of blues and rock music in the 1980's. Common concerts: Rawa Blues Festival 2001, performance in the TV programme "Rower Blażeja". In 2002 Pawel participated in recording the album Shakin Dudi Orchestra as a member of the orchestra and a soloist (Universal Music Polska - premiere: December 2002)

  • Since 1999 the saxophonist has collaborated with the drummer Arek Skolik at his jazz projects - concerts in many clubs in Poland and abroad. Participation in the Jazz Festival in Zabrze in 2001 - concert with the band Fuasi Abdul-Khalig and Ensamble; as the only Polish jazz band concert at the exhibition EXPO 2000 in Germany. In 2000 the band under the name Checkmate registered the material which was later released on the CD called "Mirror Gambit" (Not Two-premiere: November 2002)

  • As a member of The New Sami Swoi and Zbigniew Czwojda Orchestra, Pawel Smorag has had many concerts since 1999 - jazz clubs in Poland and in Germany: in 1999 New Years Eve concert for American Polonia in Chicago. In the orchestra of the legendary leader and trumpeter Zbigniew Czwojda, Pawel performed with the best Polish jazz artists: Marek Balata, Ewa Uryga, Adam Wendt. He also took part in the concerts of a great American jazz vocalist Wayne Barlett

  • Together with the Big Band PSJ Wroclaw he also performed during the Jazz Festival in Wroclaw in 2001. There were other excellent musicians playing in the orchestra such as: Piotr Baron, Piotr Wojtasik, Zbigniew Lewandowski, Adam Skrzypek, Artur Lesicki, Igor Pietraszewski

  • Common performances with the jazz-rock band Grottkoland and participation in the recording session of the solo album of the bassist Michał Grott

  • Since 2000 collaboration with the instrumental project Ars Harmonica created by the accordionists connected with Musical Academy in Katowice. Pawel as a saxophonist and flautist performed many times with the band, for example including during accordion festivals in Czestochowa and in Vienna. On top of that, he played as a guest on the demonstrational CD of the band

  • Pawel Smorag, as a saxophonist of the Big Band of the Jazz Faculty at the Musical Academy under management of Andrzej Zubek, performed together with: Alicja Majewska, Włodzimierz Korcz, the band Partita, Banda i Wanda, Bogusław Mec, Jerzy Połomski, Katarzyna Muller, Lora Szafran, Grzegorz Karnas, Krystyna Pronko, Jan Kyks Skrzek, the actors Wiktor Zborowski and Marian Opania

  • In 2001 concerts for Radio Lodz with the reactivated project Jacek Palucha i Stare Schaby, concerts at Agricola in Warsaw with Natalia Kukulska's band and Golden Life

  • Collaboration with the band Varius Manx from Lodz

  • Collaboration with the band Habakuk from Czestochowa

  • Collaboration and cameral recitals with the actress Ewa Blaszczyk and the pianist Zbigniew Lapinski

  • As a member of Jerzy Mucha's band, Pawel participated in the realisation of the TV programme "Goraczka Zlota" - collaboration with Krzysztof Ibisz and Anita Lipnicka

  • Pawel Smorag collaborated with Orkiestra Teatru Rozrywki in Chorzow. The saxophonist and percussionist performed with the artists of the Silesian theatres and in spectacles with the participation of Michal Balcar - vocalist of the band Dzem, and the vocalist Janusz Radek. Pawel also performed in the Musical Theatre in Gliwice with the jazz vocalist Anna Serafinska

  • As a soloist, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist in the Polish-German band Markus Jaichner Orchestra, Pawel Smorag participated repeatedly in the biggest European circus festivals, among others in Grenoble (France), Circus Princessa (Sweden); Enschede (Holland). With this orchestra he performed several times during the realisation of the popular TV programme "Stars in der Manege" collaborating with many German artist: Jeanette, Daniel Kublbock, DJ-Otzi, Max Raabe, Marianne und Michael

  • He gained a lot of musical experience as a participant of the Jazz Workshops in Pulawy and Chodziez, where he performed as a soloist of the jazz bands and Big Bands under direction of the outstanding musicians such as: Leszek Zadlo, Jan Ptaszyn Wroblewski, Maciej Sikala, Krzysztof Przybylowicz, Zbigniew Wrombl etc...

  • As a student at the Musical Academy in Katowice he took part in many workshops and clinics accompanying some excellent musicians as Nippy Noya or David Friesen

  • Pawel, as a soloist, multi-instrumentalist and arranger, invited to his Diploma Recital some excellent musicians, among others: Jakub Badach (band Polucjanci), Andrzej Lampert (band PIN), guitarist Bartek Jakubiec and bassist Michał Grott

  • Pawel has also collaborated or performed with such musicians as:
